I have logged in, I have ound the edit-button, but when I press it I get this announcement: "Page is locked. This page is edited by Elke." Then it gives the options "steal lock" or "cancel." So far I have cancelled, and so I can not reserve my place. What should I do?

OK, after pushing, and pushing and pushing the edit button I finaly got in. I guess that the page was just busy. Sorry, I have not experienced this kind of eiditing problem before, so I did not know weather it was an error or just business as usual.

sorry ik ben niet vertrouwd met FrontPage, maar denk dat ik nu het systeem door heb. Alleen weet ik niet of FrontPage rekening houdt met de volgorde van inloggen om te editen. Als dat niet het geval is, dan geeft dat natuurlijk problemen bij het editen (als de pagina steeds gelockt blijkt te zijn). Kan iemand mij zeggen of ik juist zit?

Me too! I added my name plus one other this morning and was in about position 40 - now its gone! If you check page history my name is there at about 8:30am :(

When number 80 was cancelled today, normally it would have been the first number from the reserve list : Suan Nguyen (@SushiDeluxe) who can could put her there, but someone else Azmaa put here there out of the blue, may we ask everybody to stay sporty and put herself on the reserve list as everybody does. This is not fair, If i am wrong i am sorry.

I added my name and a friend on place 72 and 73 yesterday morning and now it's totally gone. History of page shows list that was there yesterday morning (I estimate around 9:30am). What went wrong? I can't believe people just erased other names to put theirs instead. But even then I'm not happy about getting my name on the list in time and probably not being welcome now.

ik geloof niet dat mensen andere verwijderen van de lijst, maar er loopt inderdaad bij de inschrijving soms wat mis. niet gesaved of je kunt niet saven of lock wordt gestolen tijdens het inschrijven. Wat ik wel al gemerkt heb is dat sommige de volgorde van de reserve lijst niet respecteren het is niet first seen, first in! maar wel degene die eerst op de reserve lijst staat, komt het eerst in aanmerking als er plaats vrij is. dus Azmaa komt out of the blue. By the way ben ook al eens te laat geweest of heb mij niet correct ingeschreven waardoor ik achteraf vaststelde dat ik toch niet op de lijst stond.

I tried to check what could have gone wrong in history and seems like there are glitches in the system. Just before I added my name in place 72 there was somebody else in that position. This was not visible to me when I added my name. So maybe the same thing happened several times. With the result of confusion and disappointment. Maybe because Clo manually approved several people at the same time we were all trying to log in togehter. There was not much time between changes around 10am. The system should work better next time!

Don't forget to press "save" after editing. But you're right: I've had it with pbworks and am looking at a different system for next edition.

Ik stel voor dat je voor de volgende editie van #BGGD gebruik maakt van Twikilist: http://www.twikilist.com/
Dat wordt al een paar edities lang gebruikt voor de BarCamps, tot grote tevredenheid van iedereen.
Desnoods kan je Pbworks blijven gebruiken als informatiepagina, en de Twikilist inschrijving in de pagina embedden. Het maakt dan ook niet meer uit hoe de edit-rechten staan in pbworks.
Meer informatie bij @steffest want hij heeft Twikilist in elkaar gestoken.
